I recently moved to Point Loma so OB is my new local spot. Super kook 40y/o dad just looking for the best spot to spend a free hour here and there practicing pop ups on my longboard and eventually get less bad at this. I’d like to stay out of anyone’s way, avoid rocks, have decently easy access from the car (longboard logistics) and achieve a life goal of not ever being the guy who got in the way and gets called out by someone like Jonathan Freeman.

I’ve heard that dog beach is a possibility?

Just asking because I always hear that La Jolla shores and Tourmaline are the kook go-to’s but I’ll be able to surf more if I find a go-to closer to home.
