Surfing after Lumbar spinal fusion

Hey guys, long time reader, first post. Soon I’m scheduled to have surgery on my lower back, receiving a lumbar laminectomy and TLIF Fusion. I am a long time surfer(12 years) i am 22 years old currently and live on east coast of Florida. Im a traditional longboarder by heart and don’t see myself trying to get on a short board. I’m wondering if anyone has had any other similar surgery and what you’re recovery process looked like and you’re return to surfing.
