I wanted to get a longboard with some volume (at least 70L) with more stability to walk the nose and advance my traditional longboarding. However, I'm not great at noserider and enjoy turns more. I don't always go a point break to warrant a super traditional log. Since I'm new to nose riding, I don't think an involvement/pig shape with wide back is for me yet since it requires nose riding in the pocket. A wider nose to cheat nose riding on the shoulder/flats is probably a good starting point. I'm thinking of wide point middle, a little rocker and some edge in the tail would be good (understanding that with added speed decreasing the ability to stay in pocket for noseriding).
Any board suggestions if I don't go down custom route:
I was looking at the Stu Kenson-shaped Taylor Jensen Firewire Thunderbolt Silver Singleton 9'4 x 23 x 3 = 70.8L. Traditional PU boards unfortunately are really bad for the environment and do appreciate thunderbolt's sustainability and longevity given durability but still having flex..
