Thinking about my next trip and I really want a long left so I can start practicing turns, Chicama is obviously my first thought. Iā€™ve been to Peru and love it so the travel part is no problem my only questions are about the wave. Basically Iā€™m wondering how often is it good? What are the odds of getting skunked? I donā€™t want an epic day, once the waves get over head I start to get uncomfortable anyway, Iā€™m like an ā€œadvanced beginnerā€ for reference. How are the crowds on an average chest to head high day? Does it need an epic swell to work as a long wave or is it pretty consistent? Are there any safety hazards? Rocks etc? Would Pavones be better? Pavones seems like a tougher trip and way more crowded, but I donā€™t know, if youā€™ve done both you tell me. Thanks, I appreciate yaā€™ll
