Surf booties for sting rays?

Wack ass kook question but no exaggeration I was inches from stepping on a sting ray yesterday and it freaked me out. Are there any tough warm water booties, like something for reefs that can help with a sting? I know there’s probably nothing sting ray proof thats surfable but some tough booties might at least make a sting a lot less severe.
