Is Senna support viable for effective climbing?

I really love Senna, and I want to climb with her. But I am worried that cc tank supports and mage supports will just out preform me, this worries me even more considering I started to see them more and more pop up as the years went by.
Is it worth playing her? Or should I instead switch to something like Threst, Pyke, Zyra if I ever wish to climb?
