There are 118 elements on the periodic table and with the power to manipulate a specific one of your choosing there are bound to be some elements better than others, if not objectively then at least subjectively based upon your wants when it comes to superpowers.
Hydrogen.
1) I can create and destroy stars. Stars are where rare and precious elements are made naturally.
2) I can create every other element. Want some carbon? I control 6 hydrogen to merge. Losing my power over them, but gaining carbon.
3) super abundant and in everything. I would never be without my element, and I can bend all four elements including their special ones. Earth, fire, air, water, magma, plant, blood, metal
