Hear me out. 79’ KL250 sumo project

Hey guys n gals, I have a 79’ Kawasaki KL250 and a 78’ KZ with a done for motor, I have been considering putting the front wheel an disk brake assembly out of the KZ and putting it in the KL whilst retaining the factory KL styling, effectively making it a motard. I just wanted to see if this was a thing yet? or anyone had done similar with older dirt bikes? It would have 18” wheels front and back once the front end is swapped.
