What are Kryptonians?

Earth has millions of species. Humanity is one of them. But if we travel to another planet we are Earthlings. What is the species of humanoids that Kal-El and others are called. Yes they’re Kryptonians but so are the animals, aquatic beings, and insects of Krypton. Just as dogs, whales, and birds are just as much Earthlings as are Humans. Is there another name for the Kryptonian Humanoids? Kandorian doesn’t really count because that’s a city, akin to saying a New Yorker.

So would there be another name?
