The new logo from Superman 2025 is OUSTANDING. But the reason why I love it is because it barely looks like an S. You see, Superman is an alien so it makes sense that Kryptonians would wear a symbol that to humans could be interpreted as a letter.
The Man of Steel logo is incredible because it's a symbol of hope from another planet, Superman should take it and use it to get his name and turn the symbol as both a letter from Earth but one that specifically brings hope to people.
I love that the Kingdom Come logo and the new 2025 logo, continue this trend.
What do you all think?
I hate it because this symbol, to humans, indicates “NO”. It’s a slash that communicates anti-whatever is beneath it. This is not a symbol of unity or compassion. If anything this symbol is the opposite of everything Superman stands for.
I do agree with you that the symbol the khryptonians would have had might not have been from Earths English language. But don’t forget, Clark Kent was raised by the Kent’s on Earth. Even if the material came from Krypton, Clark would have molded it into a symbol that people from earth would have understood and accepted.
To me the “S” stands for a lot of things. Super, Speed, Strength, Safety, Solidarity, Security, Sensitivity, Sanctuary, Sensibility, and Survivor.
