I know, dumb question for some. Never towed a camper. I have a 2020 cclb 350. Really for the payload capacity. I don’t do a lot of towing mostly mounting welding machine and tool boxes for mobile welding. That being said I’m considering a very small camper around 17’ or so. Most are extremely light. Rv stores want to sell me a weight distribution/anti sway hitch. Is that really necessary for a 17’ 4500 lb camper? Owner’s manual calls for weight distribution over 5k. I couldn’t see needing it but they claim because it’s a camper it sways way more than any of the heavier trailers I tow for work that don’t have sway control.
