Great Beach Drive - Noosa Nth to Rainbow Beach

Hi all, looking to take the 4WD out to do this beach drive in a couple of months. Setting out from Noosa, across to the North Beach on the ferry and then drive up the beach, past Teewah, to Double Island Pt and around to Rainbow.

Just wondering from people who know the drive well how long to allow for the drive up and back? I am looking at low tide so it should be straight through weather willing. I’ve seen some say it’s an easy day trip and others recommending camping but not sure if this is because the drive is long, tide times or just cause it’s so beautiful.
