Discussion on how to deal with toxic player behaviour
Post Body

Hey guys, I'm a new member to this subreddit, who decided to come here after getting tired of the lack of genuine discussions over on /r/leagueoflegends . I've wanted to have a discussion about how to deal with players who are acting toxic. The most common method is simply ignoring whoever is acting negatively/feeding/refusing to communicate, however for many people, myself included, it is hard to take a step back like that in order to do such.

What are you tips on dealing with negative and toxic behaviour? How do you, especially if you are a headstrong player, justify completely ignoring your team. In the heat of a battle, it's definitely difficult to sit back and look at things from a logical perspective.

One of the tactics I personally use, if a player is raging at me, is to agree with the person, and ask them for advice. This doesn't always fix the situation, however it does help alleviate some of the tension between both players.

Here is a video I made analyzing a situation where I encountered toxic behaviour, acted incorrectly towards it, then eventually took the right approach. I talk about some of the ways I dealt with the toxic behaviour. Due to issues after upload, there are many technical issues.

Here is another video, by gbay99 touching on some similar concepts. The quality of this one is much better than mine, and brings up some great points.

I'd love to see any additional videos that anyone know about in regards with how people deal with these situations.
