I tend to always have Bravo on in the background of rewatches I'm into at the moment, while the new seasons of everything else build up some episodes so I can go back to the new content. That said, I NEED to get this off my chest. Reddit, whether you agree or not, is completely acceptable as long as it's not hateful, and this is just how I feel.
It still upsets me when I see how Jules was treated. I think it possibly still really bothers a lot of people, I think she was cool as hell. Rewatching the season where she is the weekender, and Jordan was a guest (Luke came in this season). In every single episode, she's simply excluded for what I can see as no apparent real reason whatsoever. She looks like a nice person, fun, and a real friend... so what gives?
The only decent moment was Paige when her talking head said to the watchers, she now understands Jules a little more and appreciated her vulnerability, feels closer to you, blah blah. Normally that would follow up with inclusive actions which we usually see on most shows. Life is about being vulnerable, and being able to do that is important yet I feel she was forced into saying this because of how she was treated.
Amanda. I LOVE Amanda, I think her journey in personal growth has been so inspiring. But, her whole "I don't like you because you are affiliated with Jordan who is an insane liar" made me want to slap her in the face. How are you dumb enough to say this when your relationship is usually the focus of every season? That said, I like Amanda and Kyle together. Sometimes it's as if the tables turned and she's the dominant.. but outside of Kyle being an asshole when he is drunk, I see his growth too. He's just an oblivious idiot that we all go through in life stages. Back to Jules.
She had a great point in bringing up their relationship when Amanda said she didn't trust her because of Jordan. Somehow that ended up being like a cardinal sin and I still don't get it. This wasn't some crazy secret fuck up like Erika Girardi (RHOB), that was a normal opinion calling her out saying "hey hypocrite much?" but nicer. Right before that, they dare her to have phone sex with Jordan and she COMMITS to the dare. I think one of the most badass and cringiest things I have seen on the show and it's like nobody gave her any points of friendship through the rest of the season.
We can say Jules might be quiet, maybe even a little awkward. But, aren't we all a little bit of this, that, and everything? Am I missing something? At the end of the day, I do not feel Jules deserved a second of any of that treatment (we're not getting into the Carl wanting to kick her out thing because we know what he was on now.) Why did they not include her? She seemed way cool, cooler than me that's for sure. How did that just get shoved under the rug? We love Carl too and he was a raging asshole for the first.... well all the seasons really until he woke up. Yet, everyone rallies around him (way before anyone knew he was struggling with his life) which was unrealized by Carl for the longest time, himself hence continued shit behavior for a while.
I would like to see her come back, in present-day if she would be willing. I don't think it would be the same, and she would be able to flourish in the way I think she naturally wanted to do. Seeing her dancing alone in a summer party for a few seconds... why? Why did they do this to Alex, and Mya as well? Please forgive me if I am missing someone this is not intentional.
Idk, guys it just pisses me off to bully and isolate someone at all, but especially for NO REASON. What do you all think?
Why does everyone praise Paige for her interactions w Jules? Jules gassed Paige up like crazy and Paige LOVED IT and let her!
