Samantha Wheeler was obviously created to fill the void of Jessica and to somewhat give Harvey a new sparring partner. However, she and Robert have this whole father-daughter dynamic that we only ever hear about when Robert/ Samantha have an emotional arc that needs explaining.

Some part of me wishes that the writers would have found a way to bridge a connection between Rachel & Samantha somehow. As far as we know, it sounds like they never even met. Given Rachel's history, her struggle to pass the LSATs, getting into a good law school, it feels like there would have been some unspoken rivalry, even if in passing.

And with Robert gone in the S8 finale, we will never get to see that explores.
