I'm currently halfway through Water Wood, And Wild Things by Hannah Kirshner and absolutely love it. I'm trying not to finish it so fast. If you haven't read it, the subtitle is a nice summary of what it's about: "Learning craft and cultivation in a Japanese mountain town".
So I'm looking for any suggestions on Japanese culture either from the perspective of a foriegner or native. Much appreciated!
