Recently I’ve been thinking about how capitalism and technology can be considered real “evil”. This is my opinion, and if you don’t agree that’s fine. Also, I’m aware that I’m using Reddit so I do benefit from technology, and I’m a part of the capitalist system.

Anyways, I’m looking for books regarding capitalism and/or technology or social media and it’s negative effect on people/the mental health of people who are affected by it.

Any recommendations?

Edit: I hope this doesn’t downplay the seriousness of my request, but I watched Bo Burnham’s new special last night and again this morning, and I feel more and more that the messages of 1984/A Brave New World are very much true today.
