Hey,
So I'm back in the mood to dive deep into a nice series, but I really want something fascinating, the kind of books that bubble back to the top of your thoughts months and years after reading them, until you have to pick'em up once more.
Here is some of what I really liked in no particular order:
- Lord Of The Rings
- A Song of Ice and Fire (still waiting for closure...)
- Gentleman Bastards (still waiting for closure...)
- The Name of the Wind (still waiting for closure...)
- Farseer's World series
Last series I've read is Gene Wolfe's Book of the New Sun, which I rather liked, but never got hooked and drawn in as with any of the above-mentioned titles (though I hear it's usual for a first-read of this one.)
So please share relevant books that struck you as amongst the very best.
Bonus point if there is a great audio-book version (e.g Gentleman Bastards), but that's not mandatory. Also, bonus point if the story is complete: I've enough series that have yet to be finished!
Thanks
