Hey, I was wondering if anyone could recommend coming of age novels or books that are thematically centered around becoming an adult? Preferably not young adult fiction. Bonus if it deals with sexuality or gender. It's a gift for a dear friend who recently turned 26. In the past I've given her Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides, which she really enjoyed. Thanks so much in advance!
