When I was younger, I could go through a book a day. I LOVED reading. My graduate degree (archaeology) was a reading intensive program, understandably. In order to get through all the material, I had to learn to solely scan for content and didn’t have time to read for pleasure anymore. I struggle to get into books now and want to change that.
I have a hard time if they start out slow or if they involve too many painful emotions too soon to the beginning of the book.
I have enjoy “All the Light we Cannot See”, “The Things they Carried”, “Widow of the South”, and most of Fredrick Bachmann’s books (Not Beartown, but most of the others).
Can someone suggest me some books? I feel like if I just get started back in, I can “teach” myself to read for pleasure again.
