So I’ve always been deeply fascinated by apocalypse stories. One of my all time favorite books is Alas, Babylon by Pat Frank. I think I’ve read it about 15 times. My other favorites include One Second After and The Road.
I like a good zombie read as much as the next person, but my favorite apocalypse stories are ones that seem at least somewhat possible: an electromagnetic pulse, a nuclear attack, a plague, etc. I occasionally like YA fiction, but books like Station Eleven bored me. I couldn’t even finish it.
What are your favorite realistic apocalypse books? I’m up for just about anything!
