So, my aunt has always been an avid reader. This time though, she wants to challenge herself by completing a book in English, our second language.
However, I'm racking my brain trying to meet her demands: 1) it must be a light read: nothing terribly philosophical or dense, easy-to-follow plot and on the short side; 2) feel-good story: nothing terribly tragic or violent happens, with a happy ending, ideally without being trite or too cliche; 3) mild fantasy or sci-fi elements are acceptable but not ideal, no hard magic.
That's basically knocked out of the water everything I recall reading in the past few years. Any ideas? It's cool if you spoil the book in your reply.
