The Middle East is one region I've always been fascinated in, but I've only recently started to want to read about it seriously. There's several that catch my interest, such as the Iran-Iraq War, the Palestine conflict, Iran-Israel proxy conflict, the multitude of civil wars within the region, and the effects of the U.S. and other countries's interventions. I'm interested in reading some of James L. Gelvin's books about the topic, but I want a variety of authors to pick from. Any suggestions are appreciated!
