Help! Fiction/historical novels

Please help, Im taking a vacation soon and need some books for the beach!
I've always loved fantasy, but am very picky with it. (Patrick rothfuss, some Sanderson, but not a big fan of high fantasy, or wacky stuff)
Lately I've gotten into historical novels, or historical fantasy. Really enjoyed the pillars of the earth series.
If you can find a book that amalgamates those two preferences, I'd be forever in your debt!!
