I like lighter series with great characters - think Alexander Mccall Smith's 44 scotland street or Lawrence Block's Bernie Rhodenbarr or Rita Mae Brown's sneaky pie series. crime is fine just not heavy on the real dark stuff. Anyone know of a series like this set in Norway? Heading there for a three week trip. Starting Harry Hole series by Jo Nesbo tonight but looking for lighter options.
