Last year I watched The Originals, which is a TV show that is a spin-off of The Vampire Diaries. I fell in love with The Originals from the first episode, and it's tied for my favorite show of all time (with Person of Interest). The Originals follows a family of thousand year old vampires who go to New Orleans in the present day and engage in a power struggle to reclaim their home. The show has lots of supernatural elements such as vampires, werewolves, and witches, but that's not what I love about it. I enjoy watching the complex family drama, political storylines, the constant twists, turns, and backstabbing, and the storylines around love and loss. I've tried to find other TV shows similar to it. HBO's Succession in many ways is similar, but I don't find it as good. I've wondered if there are any books similar to the Originals. Someone on another sub suggested the Luxe series by Anna Godbersen. I'm wondering if there are any other recommendations. They don't even have to have Supernatural elements. Thanks!
