I’ve really enjoyed George RR Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series, as well as the Fire and Blood prequel.

I haven’t read a whole lot of epic fantasy besides LOTR, which I enjoyed, but took me forever to grind through.

I’d like another epic fantasy series to read. Preferably something not too deep, poetic, or prosaic, as I’ve recently started an overnight job where I spend a lot of time sitting and trying to stay awake. I need something that will help me stay awake, not make it more difficult.
