Murder Mysteries like Devotions of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino.

So what I particularly enjoyed with this book was the combination of a known murderer (morally justified), the cooperation and friendship of the murderer and the coincidental witness/accomplice and at last the constantly changing perspective between the murderer, accomplice and the police slowly revealing what the different parties knows about each other and the crime.
I could definitely see this friendship being more of a romance. Hit me hard with your best suggestions!
