I have a rather niche need that I can't find a laptop for-
I do classified processing at temporary testing sites. Since there isn't any real security, you can't just leave classified data unattended, so whenever I leave the computer lab, I have to take the laptop hard drive with me. We currently have these laptops which allow you to turn off, flip upside down, pop off the back, and then remove the hard drive, which works, but the hard drives really aren't meant to be pulled in and out several times a day. We used to have laptops that had hard drives like this and they were amazing, but Dell doesn't make those anymore.
So, I don't really care about price, but I do need a laptop with some serious computational power (and i7, at least 32 GB RAM, discrete GPU), but the main thing is, a hard drive that can be removed, and is built so that as it gets removed several times a day, it holds up.
