Ok so I matched with this guy on a conventional dating app - Thursday. In the profile he mentions like SA. He asked to have a phone call I was like ok sure whatever this is an app is like a meet that day for a date app. So like whatever. He's like look I have a security detail. I'm like ok and laugh and he's like I don't appreciate being laughed at. So he goes on about how he can't go to restaurants they need to be bought out for his security and the entire time I'm thinking this seems not real. So then he's like well I don't want to buy an entire restaurant out for 50 k can we just meet near where I'm staying outside. And I'm like ok fine I'm a NYEr I've got nothing to do tonight I'll go for the story. See this security detail I'm curious. I meet and he's just talks about himself the whole time doesn't ask me any questions and says it's a byproduct of California culture vs NYC culture. No security detail insight. He says they're down the block. I think to myself that's not how security details work. I'm thinking seems like nonsense but ok I'm along for the ride. Finally we get to discussing an arrangement and he's like oh well could we end up going to your place because I don't want anyone in my house because I don't want a claim on me. And then I'm like well no if you don't want me in your house I don't want you in mine. We can go to a hotel. And then he's talking about how you can't protect yourself in a hotel because of some law where you wouldn't be able to shoot someone and some legal tangent. Anyway at that point I'm like this is a mess of red flags I'm going to leave (yea I know it was from the beginning). Anyway I feel like there are only two options: he's lying to me OR he is a recluse billionaire. My current decision is that I would meet him again if he gave me his name and I could Google him to see if he's real plus cashapp before and that he'd need to meet me in a restaurant. Again mostly along for the story.
