I chatted with a really cute pot sb for nearly 2 months cuz he was unable to meet and constantly in trouble (with the law, his parents, his job, I could never keep track of it all) . He had a criminal record (background check) and got arrested again while we were talking. Then a couple weeks ago he started acting really suspicious and wanted to go back over the details of everything wed ever talked about as well as his allowance. The allowance he wanted kept going up. He doubled it twice and the other day he doubled it again "because hes homeless".

I asked how he was going to clean up if he was homeless and suddenly he acted super offended and did a 180 on everything. Most guys have no problem when I discuss hygiene. Occasionally someone does gets offended, but not this offended. He was cursing. First he said goodbye and everything was off. Then he kept rambling on and ended it with notifying me that hes reported me to the police and they're on their way... 'They know im hooking for money'. Im guessing the next step was an extortion attempt. But after I reminded him that all wed ever discussed was cuddling and there is nothing illegal about professional cuddling, he went silent and I haven't heard from him since.

I knew within 15 minutes that I wasn't actually in trouble but still this incident deeply disturbed me. Did I really offend someone to death and make an enemy by asking about hygiene, or did I just foil an extortion attempt? Either way Im creeped out and think I'm done with SA. 90% of the users I talked to are some kind of scammers. I dont want to deal with a life of people trying to scam me or in a best case scenario people who are using me for money, not actually that into me, and will disrespect or harm me at the first chance they get. I think I will go back to regular dating with nice grounded people and offer my gifts by surprise to people who are very into me and like me for me. None of this cheap thrill is worth being exposed to all these harmful vile people and certainly isnt worth going to jail. I am in suboptimal health and cannot handle jail or defending myself from enemies. I will probably not be renewing my SA membership.
