I think my SR is slowly coming to an end. If anyone recalls any of my previous posts, we are still coming along nicely, but I think its not sustainable in the long term. Partly because I need to distance myself from the feelz, which however puts the whole relationship in a too transactional light for me and also due to the small white lies she has been telling me. Ultimately I think she may just be trying to hide the fact that she may have gotten into a vanilla relationship and is probably struggling herself how to tell / balance the whole thing.

We still have a week long trip abroad planned together, which I intent to go through with (as all is prepared, paid for and she is looking forward to it), but ultimately I think I need to cut the cord for the sake of my own sanity.

What is your experience and usual approach for ending an SR? I definitely prefer to go the face 2 face route, but not sure about timing and generally how to wrap it. What reactions do you usually get? It feels terribly like a break up....
