Happy holidays everyone. I hope you received lots of love, affection, and gifts of course!
I always tell my SB not to buy me any expensive gifts, and it's just the thought of the gift I appreciate. A sentimental, handwritten card is all I really need. I'd rather she use the money on herself or her career. However, gift giving is one of her love languages and she tends to go all out.
This Christmas was no exception. On our last date before Christmas, she shows up with a Loro Piana shopping bag. I jokingly chastise her for spending money on such an expensive and unnecessary gift. Her response? "I would buy you so much more if I was rich!" 🥹
Of course, I loved what she picked out for me! I mentioned this item in a previous conversation and she took a mental note of it. I'm surprised she remembered tbh.
On my previous birthday, she gifted me a sentimental keepsake from Hermès that will always remind me of her. At this point I just accept the fact that she's going to buy whatever gift she wants and the best thing I can do is show her how much I appreciate her. And before anyone asks, yes, I do spoil her with thoughtful and luxurious gifts as well!
Thought this could be a good segue to sharing what thoughtful gifts you received from your SB/SD this holiday?
