Compliments and Appreciation go a long way

Over the last few years I've had the benefit of being in a SD/SB relationship with a few great women. They made my life better and I hope they feel the same way about me. I was ready to take a break after my last relationship amicably ended at the beginning of the year. Somehow I ended up connecting with a grad student who has great conversation skills, super cute and a match on everything from frequency of meeting to boundaries. The best match and connection yet.

What makes her so different?! Compliments and appreciation. She genuinely thanks me for every gift, tells me about what she can do in her life because of me, etc. Her boyfriend was being borderline abusive and I told her that should NEVER happen. She ended up breaking up with him and cried when she told me she couldn't have done it if I hadn't said something. She did it on her own with help from friends but she gave me a little credit.

I encourage her with her school, friends, looks and personality. She gives me great input on family relationships, working with 20-somethings and work. I appreciate her patience around my schedule. She wears clothes to meet me that she bought with the gift cards I sent her. When we're making out she will whisper in my ear "Thank you" and it drives me wild.

I know she will meet a very lucky guy to date and this will eventually end. But until then, I am going to treat her well like she deserves and cheer her on.
