Long time lurker, first time poster! I’m an SB based in Sydney… back in the bowl looking for a new SD after a longish arrangement came to a natural end.
I’m getting messages from potential SDs who don’t want to share a pic before meeting.. their rationale is for privacy and or opsec concerns. The first couple of times I’ve nexted them almost immediately… but it’s the 4th or 5th time so I’m starting to question my position..
Is it reasonable to expect someone to meet without seeing a picture? One guy quite correctly said that I wouldn’t 100% know what someone looked like even if they had sent a pic without meeting in real life…
I always do a platonic public meet before progressing to anything else… is it crazy to agree to this with someone where I haven’t seen a pic? I’ve had one of them offer compensation for the meet, which I’ve not done before either…
I frankly wouldn’t trust the sites with my pics - however I’m single so I have less to lose..
I guess my question is, is this a reasonable request in the context of security and privacy?? Is the bowl changing, do I need to adapt?
