Long distance situation

Has anyone been in a long-distance sugaring situation? Is it appropriate to ask for some financial support? For context, I am only on PPM whenever meeting my SD. However, when we are not meeting, we still actively keep in touch, asking how our day was, and often I share n*des with him just to remind him of my existence or when I know he’s having a bad day, lol. I am wanting support in terms of getting a professional certificate, but is this appropriate?
