Whenever I send an initial message to someone, I actually read their profile and look at their pics and I try to make a specific comment to them.
For instance, one woman had a cat in her pics, I said hello and said I had a cat too and asked what her cats name is. The response was 3 days later and completely ignored what I'd said and was sexual in nature, obviously I just immediately blocked her. That one felt like a bot.
Another one I tried to compliment her profile pics in a genuine and non-creepy way and her responses didn't feel like a bot, they felt like she was too lazy to even read. Screenshot attached.
Now I'm not saying I've got the best conversation in the world, I know I don't, but I try to be genuine and make an effort. I live in the UK outside a small city so I don't tend to get the nonsense that you guys that are in major American cities get. Yet, I'm starting to see stuff like this.
Not looking for advice, I'll just block and move on, I'm just putting it out there for discussion.
