TLDR; Should I create a new SA profile to try to reconnect with a past POT that I stupidly blocked?

I have profile on seeking from the last time I was in the sugar bowl ( just got out of a long term vanilla relationship) I am now ready to join the bowl again but I miss a connection that I made right before my ex and I got together. They wanted me to block this connection and I did for the sake of our relationship. Now I can't unblock him but would like to try to connect again. My question is; should I create a new profile? I guess I'm under the assumption that SDs like to see a profile that's been on the site for a while. I also think I have a good profile in terms of my pics and descriptions so I don't want other POTs to think I'm a scammer because they have seen the same pictures under a different username.
