Made a post earlier but due to grammar, the title came across differently.

My SB is moving to my city after summers. I had given her allowance at the start of the month (mid $x,xxx). Then she asked me for money so she can secure her rental accommodation. I ignored her note that turned into argument and I gave her the money (half of the allowance additional)

Then, I got to know that she secured the rental place (legit source with written evidence, though I wasn’t deliberately finding it but it just so happen that the landlord is my close friend and he confirmed because the SB shared the rental place listing she wanted to secure).

Now when I asked her if she has secured the place, she said no. I know she is lying.

Would you confront her or move on? She has done similar things before a couple of times but those were for smaller amount for dresses, make-up, books etc. worth $xxx each times but she never bought them.
