I know the infamous septum is a big topic around here! Most of my seeking pictures have showcased the septum ring, even though I flip it inside for all dates, work, etc. I don’t think I realized it was such a turn off to so many that I didn’t realize it would matter.

I’m starting a new job search soon and decided to tone my red hair down and go a more natural color. Honestly I’ve been blonde most of my life so the fun colors were always temporary fun. When I first joined seeking I had blue and purple hair 😂 and slowly transitioned back to more subtle colors. My fun phase is coming to an end!

So I decided to showcase my new hair on my profile and flipped my septum inside since I don’t show it on dates anyways (unless they mention liking it). The amount of messages I have gotten since showcasing my more subtle look has been probably double.

I’m a big proponent of expressing yourself in ways that make you happy so this is not to tell you to tone down your own look, just an observation that the advice often given here regarding more alternative looks seems to be proving accurate in my experience.
