new male glider
Post Body

I recently just picked up a new sugar glider (Ecto) for my single male (Mystery) whom i had rescued a few months ago and i have SO many questions about introductions. They are both neutered males, and both around two years old. I have a separate temporary cage for Shayne, and have already introduced them in a neutral space. There has been no crabbing or lunging or biting! It seems like they will be getting along fine, but should I wait to leave them in the cage together overnight? They slept all day in the same cage today while I was at work, then I separated them when I got home to put their dinner together. Was just about to go to sleep when Shayne started barking :( I stuck Mystery in the temporary cage with him and they have been eating together and making a few noises to each other (like little squeaks and clicking noises, nothing that sounds like aggression). They’ve both been rubbing their scent glands all over each other… Is this okay? Even though they seemed to have been off to a good start, is there a chance they could start fighting? When should I move them both to the big cage?

He was probably barking looking for his new buddy!!! They seem fine…. I’d leave them together…. (I am in no way an expert, but those are my thoughts)
