Please help me with my subwoofer
Post Body

I don’t know much about subs but I bought a car that had one in it. Two days later it stopped working because the previous owner had wired the power cord underneath the car and it burned through on the exhaust. When I bought a new power cord for it one of the employees at the store took a look at my setup and helped me rewire from the sub to the amp. I went home and wired everything together correctly (even took the power cord through the firewall) but it still didn’t work. I talked to an employee at a sound shop and he thought that my amp probably got fried when the power cord had burned. I bought the exact same type of amp and just yesterday swapped out the old one amp for the new one. I amateurishly set my controls (the gain and stuff) and it worked!...for one night. Today it hasn’t worked since and I have no idea why. I’ve checked all my connections and even replaced the wire from the amp to the sub (it looked like it had melted in one place maybe from the sun? I’m not sure) and still nothing. I am $170 and probably 8 hours into this project and I am getting very frustrated. Please help. I got Reddit just so I could make this post. If I can figure out how, I will attach pictures of my setup.
