So I installed a AMP (Alpine 4 channel MRV-F407 [340w @ 4 Ohms Bridged]) and a single subwoofer (Sony Xplode 1800w [300W RMS]) today for a friend. I bridged channel 1 & 2 to power the sub. The sub turns on but only barely works (can’t hear it have to put your hand on to know it’s working at full noise). I removed the Sony and, tested two 10” Howler subs in a double box and they work fine. I’m on holidays and don’t have access to any tools eg multimeter, test light ect ect
Q1 is the single 1800w Sony to powerful for the AMP? Q2 is it possible to power the Sony via channel 1-2 and 3-4? Q3 could the sub just be blown?
