Went to subway the other day. Dude was so lost in his own thoughts. He was the only person there, he made no small talk even after I said hello how are you, he kept getting my stuff wrong even after asking me, I said only mustard on one half, he put it all over, no big deal but as much as I wanted to snap I kept cool and collected. Anyway, he rings me up and the screen asks for tip. I declined that so fast and left. I don’t mind tipping a server at a restaurant but at Subway for someone who didn’t even spark convo and kept screwing up my order…No way. How do you employees feel about being tipped?
