deleted and reposted this because it wasn’t showing up under new posts in this sub even after a few hours, so i figured repost to be safe. also forgot to mention below that ideally, i’d like to stabilize my dose at around 8mg/day for a week or two and get the Sublocade injection, but if that’s not possible for whatever reason i’ll be just as glad to continue my 8mg/day treatment!

apparently the list of providers on the website for Suboxone/Sublocade isn’t very accurate or updated very often because every listed provider i called in my area either didn’t offer Suboxone/Sublocade at all or didn’t accept my insurance. i have NYS Medicaid under EmblemHealth as my insurance. it would be best if i could find a psychiatrist to prescribe my Sub like i used to before his practice closed because i had been seeing my former psychiatrist for almost 13 years (only been on Sub for 7 years though, at dosages between 4-8mg/day) since i was 16-17 years old (when i started having really bad issues with panic attacks and depression) and it took us a considerably long time to try a LOT of different meds and arrive at the combination of meds that worked well for me to treat my depression/anxiety, insomnia and ADHD (in addition to treating my dependency on opiates with Sub, obviously), and i worry that a regular doctor won’t be able/willing to put me back on the same meds at the same dosages again. i was doing so well on my meds before his office closed and ever since then i’ve been a mess in regards to my aforementioned psychiatric issues, not to mention the inability to locate another provider for my Suboxone and having to buy them from friends in order to prevent WD/relapse, and i just want to get back to where i was, feeling good and leading a happy, normal, productive life again.

any help would be GREATLY appreciated; as i said, a psychiatrist would be best but if a provider for just my Suboxone and Effexor XR is all that’s available to me at the moment, i’ll take what i can get for now and keep searching for another psychiatrist. thanks for taking the time to read this if you did 💜
