I have been taking Fiorcet for migraines for the last 10 years or so and it is the only thing that works aside from the times they have hospitalized me and kept me on IV pain meds round the clock for 7-10 days until the pain was tolerable and I could function. I have tried Botox, nerve blocks, prevention therapy and pretty much everything else but the Fiorcet has been the one thing that has always worked and if that doesn't work after 2 days then I get admitted to the hospital for impatient treatment. Before I started taking Suboxone I told my doctor what medications I was on and he didn't mention anything about having to stop any of the meds I was on including the Fiorcet. Well I usually get my script faxed to Walmart after a monthly telehealth appointment and there was one occasion that I had to drop off my urine for my drug test and he went ahead and saw me in the office and gave me a paper script which I took to CVS cause every month when I get my script I have to wait to pick it up until the following day due to either Walmart needing to speak to the doctor or it being out of stock and since I had the paper script and CVS had it in stock and I pick up 12 other meds from them regularly it would have been more convenient. When I went to pick up my Suboxone and the rest of my meds including the Fiorcet I was told by my pharmacist that she would not fill the Firocet any longer if I was taking Suboxone and it would be the last time she was going to be filling it. The only thing I can think of is that the Firocet contains a barbiturate and maybe that is why she won't fill it but what am I supposed to do. The doctor knew I took it when I had my initial appointment with him months ago and I don't know what else I can take that will treat my migraines unless I change the Suboxone? Help!
