I really enjoyed both Subnautica games and this subreddit but there's something I want to say:
I'm surprised and kinda saddened by how many people approached this game with an attitude of domination over 4546B. I see so many posts about killing all the fauna that make me think we did not even have close to the same experience of the game.
For me, one of the most enjoyable portions of the game is the feeling of smallness and powerlessness. You are but a little creature, a foreigner trying to survive and escape a huge world that doesn't care for you one bit. You're not there to impose your will like a shooter or the Sims.
I know that all games are just up to our interpretation, and there's no wrong way to enjoy, but I just can't help but think this is the wrong game for you if you aim to have control over the planet.
Anyways, love y'all, cheers
