My base is in the red grass biome near a toothy drop off. I had thought this was the dunes, but discovered that I was wrong. I've gone down the side several times for materials, always staying close to the edge. I decided that I needed to be a little braver so I went to the bottom of the toothy drop off and placed a scanner room with upgrades.

According to the scanner room, the toothy edged drop off is actually the crater from the floating island. On all of my trips I have sonared constantly and have never seen anything mean, however, it is my understanding that there is a ghost leviathon or something similar under the island, yet my scanner room is not displaying any such thing as a possible option.

Does whatever is up there not show up on the scanner? Or am I just being super paranoid and the area is actually safe?
