Hello! This is my first post here and thought my first post should be something I got to experience. About 2 weeks ago I got my vive. I was looking for vr games and saw Subnautica yesterday and promptly bought it. I played normally to start with, (keyboard and mouse) and about my 10th day I decided to use vr to see all the surroundings. And besides the obvious (it looked great), I'll talk about how it functioned.
I'll admit, I was a bit bummed it didn't use the controlers, but I know it's still in progress, so I really hope they manage to implement them somehow. But I hooked up my controller and got into it, it was really fun I will say, I got to go get some materials I needed from kelp forest, and it was implimented rather nicely swimming, turning, all that nice stuff. My only small gripe was the hud, it moved around when I did, and I often struggled to see my food and water. So if I had to suggest a better option I'd say add the hud to the inventory somehow. Of course this was a small problem. Other than that I had a blast. I'll probably wait for a few updates before I play vr again, but I'm definitely enjoying Subnautica greatly.
