I have a 2017 Impreza and the head gasket blew, leaked coolant, and my engine overheated and needs to be replaced. The value in my car is still high enough where it’s the most viable to repair and then sell and I have a new Subaru coming in next month….

My shop that I had taken into before just quoted me $5k tax to replace it with a used engine with 50k miles. Is this too much? Just right? Is there any possibility to find another place to get it done or get a higher mileage engine to get closer to $4K or am I delusional?
